I'm from Texas. I currently live and work in New York City.
In my photography and writing, I have always searched for and explored the moments that make us intensely human, and therefore inherently vulnerable.
Most of all, I believe in adventure, observation, and all forms of expression via movement, words, and art. Also, I like eating chocolate, attempting new forms of dance, making up puns, and asking questions. Sometimes all simultaneously.
Want to work on a project together? I'd love to hear about it.
WHERE ELSE TO FIND ME
I keep an informal image diary of chasing adventure within the everyday world.
I make note of hilarious or touching things on Twitter.
I teach Argentine tango.
I write about food and other indulgences on Yelp.
I collect wildly sprawling and eclectic music playlists on Spotify.
As mentioned above, I write (very occasional) tiny letters about life and love. I love to receive letters and messages ― send one by using the form below.
THAT LITTLE DAY JOB THING
I am passionate about creative ways of using technology to spark human connection.
I speak three languages (English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese).
I worked in strategic corporate consulting for 6 years. I specialized in process design and systems implementation, including all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
But I had stopped writing, taking photos, and feeling engaged on the internet. I needed a new direction.
In 2014, I moved to NYC, quit my tech consulting job, and joined a mobile app startup.
Now, I am proud to be working with the TED technology team. I also offer to make up puns and edit grammar for startup companies who might need these kinds of services. I spend a lot of my time thinking about location-independent/remote work and distributed teams.
